Make The Most Of Your Trade

So, you found the car you might want. It looks good and you can picture yourself in it and now it's time for a test drive. So first of, if you're refused a test drive, don't buy the car! You don't want to be stuck with a car you're either not comfortable in or have a blind spot you would not know about unless you test drive it. The goal of a test drive is to experience the same driving conditions the car will be used after you buy it. If you commute, drive the car in both heavy traffic and at highway speeds. If you often drive into the mountains, try to find some steep grades to climb. Drive over bumps, take tight corners and test the brakes. Listen for mechanical noises, any clunks or unusual sounds. The engine should not sound rough either.

Try to stay focused as you're test driving the car. Don't let yourself be distracted by driving with the radio on. You can always check the radio later. Or politely ask the salesperson to keep the conversation to the minimum so you can concentrate on evaluating the car. And one last thing you should consider, your intuition. If you have bad feelings about the car, follow your instincts. Any purchase as expensive and important as a vehicle purchase should be made only with total confidence.

If you are looking to buy a car, I advise you to do your homework. Don't forget to check out our Tips & Auto Value Quotes Review section. We have the best car buying tips.
