Hilton Garden Inn in San Mateo

Visiting this hotel was part of my business trip to the Sillicon Valley. The hotel is located next to the Bridgepointe shopping mall in San Mateo. Some would consider that an asset and I am sure some would not. Everything around the area is very turn of the century mall. Sort of sterile and business park like. Chain stores like you would see in any other part the country.

The Hilton Garden Inn does have all the ammenities for a business class hotel. Observing the clientele was enough to tell you that business suits, male or female, and the little rolling bags are all the rage here. My room was clean and furnished modestly. Internet access is free which is awesome. There is an iron in the room and an ironing board which was important to me. I could not locate a safe. Perhaps it was hidden too well?!? Breakfast was not included which was bad for the price of the room. It was quiet and the bed was comfortable.

All in all a good place to stay. I was not planning on any sightseeing, just get the work done and get out of there. It served its above mentioned purpose quite well.
